Three Key Challenges

ORQA, LLC was founded specifically because despite all the amazing work in healthcare quality improvement and patient safety, there wasn't a single solution that addressed what we feel are the three key challenges which must be met to get physicians fully engaged in the improvement of healthcare.

Accessibility
Physicians are busier than ever before with the transformation to Health 2.0 in conjunction with cost-cutting efforts and an aging population.  In order to gain physician participation in a patient safety reporting system, the reporting system must be simple to use and available at the point of care.

Transparency
Transparency in the environment of care is essential when dealing with patient safety and quality improvement.  Physicians want to know if the time taken to submit feedback or an event report results in a positive change; they want to know if they're making a difference.

Protection
Nearly 25% of all physicians in the US will get sued for malpractice this year, and over 50% will be sued at least once in their career.  In order to gain participation in patient safety, physicians need to know that any information regarding an error or potential error will never be used in a punitive way against them or their colleagues.
