ORQA, LLC provides comprehensive operational risk management (OpRisk or ORM) solutions for healthcare organizations by leveraging Web 2.0 technology and a “Software as a Service” (SaaS) delivery model to effectively and intuitively manage all regulatory compliance, risk management and quality assurance program requirements outside the patient medical record and the revenue cycle.  Our business model is advantageous because it is sensitive to the business relationships that exist between physician practices and hospital/provider organizations by acting as a privileged neutral ground to report safety events to and act as a catalyst for building a culture of safety and mindfulness.

After significant research combined with an increased public awareness regarding patient safety, it has become apparent there is a significant need for a comprehensive and easily managed online risk management tool that both meets the needs specific to ancillary services, but also transitions the management of risk to an online environment in order to better serve the needs of a modern healthcare system which is starting to virtualize. The adoption of paperless and healthcare processes have at many institutions set a new benchmark for efficiency and productivity. So much so, that the legacy compliance and risk management programs which are laid out in dusty binders and rely on a system of paper forms  are seeing significant drops in participation and compliance.

ORQA strives to continually improve our offerings in a way that enables our customers to create a culture of mindfulness, which by nature should be a reporting culture, a just culture, a learning culture and a flexible culture.

We believe that "Safety" and "Quality" are not programs that are kept in a binder to get updated once a year or so, but involves the entire work force as part of the business culture. Our tools combined with our PSO services are designed to create a focus on improved culture that allows for simple reporting of both reinforcing and constructive thoughts without fear of blame or punitive response; a culture that allows collaborative sharing of policies, procedures, and best practices across a distributed enterprise or even multiple enterprises; and a culture that provides incentives and rewards for active participation and open communication toward improvement efforts.

We are looking forward to the coming years of providing continuously improving solutions to the ongoing challenges that arise from the continuous pursuit of perfection in healthcare.
