ORQA Attains PSO Certification |

PEORIA, IL — Effective November 19, 2008, ORQA, LLC was listed by the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as a Patient Safety Organization (PSO). The Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Act of 2005 provides uniform Federal privilege and confidentiality protections for patient safety work product submitted to PSOs. AHRQ Director Carolyn M. Clancy, M.D. has said this regulation "...provides a framework for Patient Safety Organizations to facilitate a shared-learning approach that supports effective interventions that reduce risk of harm to patients." ORQA offers a comprehensive Web 2.0 solution for managing risk, safety, and quality in health care, including Peer Review, Technologist Feedback, Sentinel Event Management, and other functions critical to achieving high reliability in diagnostic imaging.
